Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 28, 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information UWageCo collects when you use our document platform, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to generate the documents you ask for and to process your payment.

2. Information we collect

  • Contact information. An email address so we can deliver your document and send a receipt.
  • Document data you enter. The business, worker, wage, payment, and tax details you type into a document — for example company name, worker name, pay period, hours, and amounts.
  • Payment information. Card payments are handled entirely by our payment processor, Stripe. UWageCo never receives or stores your full card number, CVV, or bank credentials — we receive only a confirmation that payment succeeded and limited, non-sensitive details such as the card brand and last four digits.
  • Basic technical data. Standard log and device information (such as IP address and browser type) used to operate and secure the service.

We do not collect full Social Security numbers. Where a tax document requires an identifier, we collect only what is necessary and handle it as sensitive data.

3. How we use information

  • to generate, deliver, and let you re-download your documents;
  • to process payments and provide receipts;
  • to provide customer support and respond to your requests;
  • to detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and
  • to meet our legal and accounting obligations.

4. We do not sell your data

UWageCo does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share it for third-party advertising. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the platform (such as Stripe for payments and our hosting provider), and only as needed to provide the service, or when required by law.

5. Security

We protect your information with industry-standard safeguards. Sensitive data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is limited to what is necessary to run the service. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit what we collect in the first place.

6. Retention

We keep document data and related records for as long as needed to provide the service, let you re-download recent purchases, and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements, after which we delete or anonymize it. You can ask us to delete your data sooner as described below.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • export a copy of your document data;
  • correct information that is inaccurate; and
  • delete your information.

To make a request, contact us at [PRIVACY CONTACT EMAIL PLACEHOLDER]. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
